mood: confused confused

My decision has been made.

 

I will be going back to Canada in August.

 

My parents are thrilled.

 

My boss has left it open for me, if I want to stay.  But I think I’m ready to go home. 

 

There are so many things I love in this country.  But it’s time to go home.

 

Why do I feel like I’ve failed, somehow?

You've not failed.
Maybe you feel like that because of your boss. Or you have things left undone yet? Do you?

I think it's just me being ridiculous.

I'm not fluent in Japanese (I also don't study).
I'm leaving in the middle of the school year (at the end of my contract).
I'm moving back in with my parents (while I go to school).
I'm leaving a job I love (that has no upward mobility).

Meh. I'll get over it. I just don't want to pack! hahaha

Happy for you that you have reached a decision. Now you can enjoy the rest of the year making the absolute most of the time you are in Japan. *big hug*

Good for you on deciding! I think you'll probably feel less like you've failed the longer you have to get used to it. (though I kinda feel like I've been failing having no steady job yet.....*hates* Though I do have a designing job coming up, but it only pays $100...grrrr)
